Nikkita Holder made her Olympic debut at London 2012 after earning a spot on the team with her third place finish at the highly anticipated 2012 Canadian Championships, which featured six women who had all met the 100m hurdles qualifying standard. She made it to the Olympic semifinal after reaching the final at the 2011 IAAF World Championships, where she was the top Canadian in sixth place. She finished fifth at the 2014 Canadian Championships after giving birth to son Kaedence in October 2013. After finishing third in the 100m hurdles at the 2015 Canadian Championships, Holder ran to a bronze medal at the Pan Am Games in Toronto with a season best time of 12.85 seconds, just 0.05 of a second off her personal best mark. She followed that up by advancing to the semifinals at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing.
